Player Development Policy

For Camrose Softball Association (CSA), all teams are to follow the facets of Softball Canada's Long Term Athlete Development Model (LTAD) and Athlete Development Matrix (ADM).

When Camrose "A" teams are formed based on fall evaluations, coaches and managers will outline season plans with the respective team's players and parents. There will be a minimum expectation of two practices per month for the months of October, November, and December. For January, February, and March this will increase to two to four practices for each month.

Once able to move outside based on weather conditions, there will be a minimum of six hours of outdoor practices each week as well as game play.

CSA encourages coaches to reach out to guest coaches for elite position specific training. CSA will also aid in winter skill and pitching camps or clinics.

The majority of players within CSA are multi-sport athletes and we ask our coaches to be respectful of that. We encourage our players to be athletes and support their decisions.
