Coach Requirements
All Camrose Softball Association (CSA) coaches must register in Ramp as a coach (same registration website we use for player registrations)
All CSA coaches must have "Respect in Sport - Activity Leader". After the course is complete please upload it into Ramp.
All CSA Coaches and managers require a police information check to be completed and submitted to relevant age coordinator. Residents of Camrose may use the link at the bottom of this page. Camrose County or out of town residents must contact the RCMP here.
U11-U19: Teams NOT entering Provincials
- CSA recommends all coaches take "Foundations of Coaching Softball - Part 1"
U11 Teams Entering Provincials
- Registered coach on record must have "Foundations of Coaching Softball Part 1" and "Make Ethical Decisions Online Evaluation" complete.
U13-U19 Teams Entering Provincials
- Registered coach to be fully trained in NCCP “Community Softball” and "Make Ethical Decisions Online Evaluation" complete.
U15A - U17A Teams Entering Provincials that lead to Post-Provincial Play (Westerns or Canadians)
- All coaches require Make Ethical Decisions
- Registered coach to be fully Certified in NCCP “Competition Introduction”. and "Make Ethical Decisions Online Evaluation" complete.
Female Coach - Provincial Roster Requirement
- Softball Alberta requires one coach of which must be of the same gender as the team (female) and must have completed "Foundations of Coaching Softball Part 1" and "Make Ethical Decisions Online Evaluation".
Assistant Coaches Entering Provincials
- All assistant coaches require Respect in Sport - Activity Leader
- Recommended that Assistant Coaches have "Foundations of Coaching Softball Part 1" and "Make Ethical Decisions Online Evaluation" complete.
